Attention Central Illinois residents: We're thrilled to report that the Parade of Homes returns this weekend to Peoria!
This event is always a favorite among REALTORS and residents alike because it showcases some of the most beautiful homes we have to offer in our lovely community.
If you're going to be in the area, we definitely encourage you to check it out. Continue reading to learn all of the details you'll need before the event kicks off this weekend!
What You Should Expect from Peoria's 24th Annual Parade of Homes
First, here is the basic information about the event this weekend:
- When: 1 to 5 p.m. June 20 to 21 as well as June 27 to 28
- Where: In various communities around Peoria, including Washington and Pekin.
- Admission: FREE
Now in its 24th year, this new home extravaganza (brought to you by the members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Peoria) allows residents to tour gorgeous homes in the community.
It's worth noting that this home's emphasis is on new construction. Thus, attendees shouldn't expect this to mimic a decorated home event.
These homes have been constructed by a variety of different area home builders, including:
- Darrell Dunbar Designer/Builder
- Noah Herman Sons Builders
- Hoffman Ochs General Contractors
- Ironwood Homes of Peoria
- Scott Lewis Homes
- P & W Builders
- Pekin Community High School Building Trades Program
- E.O. Reed Construction, Inc.
- Traders Development Corp.
- Worthington Builders
Some of the homes you'll find along the parade route have been 100 percent completed while others have been professionally decorated.
Still others focus more on the construction phase, offering buyers the chance to make personalized choices on parts of the home that haven't yet been completed.
One More Smart Tip on Navigating the Parade of Homes: Beginning yesterday, residents can now stop by any Peoria-area CEFCU Member Center to get your free copy of the Tour Book. Additionally, home delivery subscribers of the Peoria Journal Star will find a copy of the Tour Book in their June 20 newspaper.
