When in the negotiating process, we recommend you watch what you say in the presence of a seller or the seller’s agent. Everything you say can, and will, be used in the bargaining process. If your offer is lower than the listing price, never let the seller’s real estate agent know you are willing to pay more. Never indicate what motivates you to make your purchase. This could have a negative impact on the negotiating process. Never feel pressured into raising your price on the spot when negotiating price.
