Chillicothe is located on the Illinois River in Peoria County just 15 minutes north of Peoria and is part of the Peoria Metropolitan Statistical Area. Sandy beaches are ideal for picnics, sunbathing, bocce ball and sand volleyball. Located in the heart of the community, Pearce Community Center provides aerobics, weight and fitness rooms, banquet facilities, an indoor swimming pool for various aquatic activities as well as special programs for senior citizens.
